Yesterday I came to a realization. I think I was starting to make music in the genre I made it because people were starting to expect me to deliver that. I felt restricted and the inspiration wasn't there anymore. I realized I was starting to make extremely similar things that barely differed from track to track. Creating my own sounds really helped to develop this creativity not to have sounds that become repetitive. By creating my own sounds I also realized what my sound was and I no longer have to depend on other people's sounds. This realization really brought me back to the core of why I make music... for passion and love to communicate this passion to the world. I've realized that I have to make what I want to make and not what people want me to make. In the next months, you'll be able to hear these changes with upcoming singles. I feel great to have this first realization now and not to a point where I can't create for a long period of time and don't feel in a good relationship with music. If you find yourself stuck in a moment or in an idea and you can't seem to move forward or you feel like you're just repeating stuff and ideas, question yourself if you're really doing this for yourself and not for someone else. you might come to the realization that you aren't authentic with your creative choices and are stuck in this loop.
