How to Overcome Motivation Loss and A Little Love Story

What’s up everyone, I

I’m sorry for the week-long delay on the blog post. I was so busy making the playlists and the videos for said playlists. Anyways, I have to admit, the month of February was rough for my new organization. Plenty of days I just completely forgot to write in my agenda, others I found myself binging shows and procrastinating, and others I just really wasn’t productive. Okay, now that the bad is out when I did have some good streaks, I found myself full of energy and super productive. Plus, this month was the celebration of love so I’ll talk to you a bit about that too. Let’s get started!

What did I do to get out of the hard days, well first I have to describe to you what are my types of hard-to-be productive days. First, I have my typical less productive days. That means, I wake up and immediately open my phone and end up on Instagram. Oh boy, when I fall into the scrolling of Instagram, I can be on there for 2 hours and not even realize it. When I’m very hungry I’ll go down to the kitchen and get myself the easiest things I can eat. Which are often salads or leftovers (yes I eat leftovers for breakfast). Then I’ll continue with all the good intentions of going on with a better day but I’ll end up with my computer on my lap and watching some shows while doing some really slow planning. My second less productive day is when I just forget to write down what I have to do. I’ll end up wanting to do soo many things and I’ll find myself cooking all day instead of working on some music, artworks or photography. The third one is just when it doesn’t work I try to concentrate but I just can’t and I really haven’t found a way to come out of that other than watching a few movies.

Now how do I overcome these less productive days? I think it really depends on the type of person you are. For me, when I’m working I love putting on some podcasts or some shows or films I’ve watched several times and that really allows me to concentrate and to be able to be more productive. Secondly, I think it’s really important to write down what you have to do. For me, I found that writing down all the little details of what I have to do helps me organize the time I have and to see if I can really fit all of that in my days. I think it all depends on the type of person you are but, I think that you will be the more productive the less you put yourself pressure on achieving and more on doing one thing at a time.

Now for my good days. Over the month I’ve found myself planning a lot and having lots of great conversations on social media and branding. I then decided to redo my whole website. I changed pretty much all of it and added some really cool things. I’ve also chosen to make a different style of feed every month always with the intent of having everything merge together of course! Some other good things that happened… let me think. I’ve uploaded loads of photographs to Shutterstock and well the heat and warmth coming back made me go outside a whole lot! I don’t want to go in-depth too much on my schedule for when I have productive days because, …, I’ve been over it last month so check out last month’s blog for the full Mike.A morning routine. Oh damn! I remember something I started doing this month! So basically I found this app that tracks your sleep with sonar and I’ve been using it to see how my sleep is and to help me sleep more and more regularly to be able to wake up all energized every morning and want to do my day. Up to now, it’s pretty cool. I’m still getting used to the recordings during the night because I really really want to hear myself talk in my sleep!

Okay so let’s finish off today by talking about the celebration of love. Valentine’s Day!

Oh, Valentine’s Day. So this year for valentine’s day I planned something quite special for Valentine’s Day! So basically, every month, I surprise my girlfriend with a special healthier version meal of something we both love. And for February, I decided to make an exception and make 2. So, we started off the afternoon by making some super cool and incredibly scented homemade candles! Okay, I’m gonna be honest with you I’m not too sure they worked out okay but it was really fun. Then, while she took a small nap, I prepared the entrée. I don’t want to say too much because it’s going to come in future tiktok videos. Basically, it’s cured meat surrounding a tomato and then cooked. It’s delicious and explodes in your mouth! Then, I hid some chocolate all over the house and she had to find every chocolate gift (that we then split in half). That activity was really fun to watch! After that, we started preparing the dessert as it had to cool. Then, we immediately started dinner. WHAT DID YOU EAT JUST TELL US!, Okay, okay, I’ll tell you. We made gluten-free super crispy and delicious General Tao chicken in a sweet and spicy homemade sauce. It was really good. It really was a great evening. Oh, I almost forgot that we also made our centrepiece! For one of the activities, we made origami roses and it was really fun!

What did you do for Valentine’s Day? What do you do when you have trouble being productive? If there’s anything you want to add to the conversation please do it in the comments below! Thanks and stay safe!
